Veriszon’s Galaxy S6 edge+ and Note 5 Getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update

Verizon is sporting updates for Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with Android 6 Marshmallow patch. One of the new features will be Android 6.0 Doze mode which stops the background apps and puts you phone to sleep when inactive. This will improve battery life and overall performance. It will also have Google Now On Tap feature which provides a search result based on what is there on the screen. Furthermore users will be able to deny permission asked by the apps for every parameter. Wi-Fi calling would also be applicable in some circles.

Live streaming in Youtube has improved considerable due to the update by which any user can send live videos to others. Mode of the camera has to be Live Broadcast. One can add news, scores, stock updates at the edge of the handset for updates. The update patch will come with improvement in software as well. Problems related to data connection like frequent disconnects, inability to connect and delay in loading sites are taken care of. There would also be some changes in pre-installed apps will Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram.

Make sure you use a Wi-Fi connection while updating the OS and always have a backup beforehand. The patch is quite heavy is size approx. 1.4 GB and will consume battery power, so makes sure your battery is fully charged to avoid disconnects.
